“Festa Major” of Santa Tecla in Sitges September 23-24, 2016.

Santa Tecla is also the patron saint of Sitges, the Fiesta Mayor de Santa Tecla, is known as the "Festa Major petita", as it is a more intimate festival than Sant Bartomeu (August 21-27), with less influx this one but also with a lot of charm.

The weekend before Santa Tecla, at night the “Nit de Foc” is celebrated, a spectacular “correfoc” (pyrotechnic show with the “dimonis” and “bèsties de foc”) through the streets of Sitges. In the Town Hall, the Paseo de la Ribera and other streets, groups of “dimonis” from neighboring towns gather to celebrate the event.

The morning of the 23rd is a children's morning, where children celebrate the party with their giants, "dracs" and eagles made by hand by them.
